Insurance Project for a Top 4 HK Insurer
Our Challenge
Design an end-to-end customer need-based point-of-sales tool for insurance agents in the Philippines with a regional baseline by working alongside business analysts from the client and developers from another vendor.
Who worked on this
A senior UX designer, 4+ UX designers (including me), 3+ visual designers at HeathWallace.
Here's what we did:
Joining in the beginning of design sprint, there were already an established design component library and baseline patterns, so we began by looking at the journey as a whole to assess where the gaps are.
Given more than 5 streams within the project, we established a way of working to ensure consistencies in design and expectations. As such, we spent 2 days a week in the office and the rest onsite.
The biggest challenge for me was to design on top of a solution that was extremely flexible. Since insurance agents have varied ways of working, our architecture gained many entry points from unexpected places.
When the designs were ready, we took them to the clients at Manilla at the end of each sprint to gather feedback. The challenge for me at this stage was to facilitate the meetings as there were 1. varying stakeholder expectations and needs 2. Ad-hoc requests from the tech vendor, since they had limited budget and needed to limit the scope whenever they could 3. Seven cultures and accents in one room.
A Sneak Peak of What We Delivered:
Thanks to good teamwork and governance, we successful delivered the wireframes for production. Parts of the product has already gone live.
